About the event

The veil thins. The ancestors call. The heart(h)-fire in our chest must be fed the logs of remembrance through purposeful action. It is the season for feasting our dead, for singing comfort over them, for praying for their healing, for cleaning their graves. But how to do so in a modern context when much of our ancestral memory around such rituals has been lost? Are we allowed to participate in our own day of the dead celebration without fear of appropriation?
